The Raines Family and How We Became Spectrum Detail Solutions
Oh boy, where do we even begin?
Selena and I started this journey just over three years ago when our son, Gabriel, was born. Around six months old, we began noticing subtle signs of autism that gradually became clearer as he grew. Earlier this year, Gabriel was officially diagnosed as Level 3 non-verbal autistic.
As parents of two teenage daughters and now our sweet little man, Gabriel, his diagnosis hit us like a whirlwind. We knew instantly that we had to make changes — big ones — to give him the best life possible. That’s when Spectrum Detail Solutions was born.
I’ve spent many years in the automotive industry — from Sales and F&I to professional detailing back in Oklahoma, where I specialized in ceramics, show cars, boats, and even small planes. Along the way, I earned my Accounting Degree and completed a Master Level III certification in Advanced Detailing and Paint Correction through Tulsa Technology Center in Broken Arrow.
Life took me away from detailing for a few years, until I met Selena — who had spent over a decade as a dedicated Service Professional with Olive Garden before becoming a full-time mom after Gabriel was born. When we received his diagnosis, we both knew our purpose had shifted. We left our management jobs, prayed for guidance, and took a leap of faith.
That leap became Spectrum Detail Solutions.
Our faith has carried us through this journey — the sacrifices, the long hours, and the uncertainty. We’re not just building a business; we’re building a future for our family. We want to bring something special to Joplin and the surrounding communities — offering high-quality detailing services while also raising awareness for families navigating life with special needs children.
